To Albert Lea’s under-13 soccer boys.
Congratulations on winning the state title in Lakeville on July 27. The boys beat River Falls 3-0 on July 27 to win the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association Summer State Tournament Classic 3 division. This victory came after Albert Lea had defeated Owatonna 5-0 and Valley United 5-0. Way to go, guys!
No matter the conversation or the interruption, it is simply unprofessional to hang up on another person. People who hang up probably aren’t upset over the matter that was at hand on the phone. They more likely have some deeper issues that need addressing so they can relax and get back to their calmer, normal selves. The problem is that misery loves company, and so when a person hangs up, it brings the person on the other end of the line down, too.
To being done with so many impasses.
The NFL players and owners couldn’t agree. The state governor and Legislature couldn’t agree. The president and Congress couldn’t agree. Lockouts, shutdowns and debt ceilings. Oh my! These three high-profile disagreements have struck compromises. No matter how you might feel about the results, you have to be glad that at least we don’t have to be showered with round-the-clock news about how they can’t get along. Perhaps now — finally — our state and federal leaders can focus on jobs and the common man, when he’s not out searching for a job, can enjoy some pro football.
