It’s time to fix A.L. City Hall

So the state auditor in his/her almighty wisdom has decided that nothing will be done with the former employee who should have also been prosecuted with Mr. Jim Norman. Ladies and gentlemen of the counsel and Mr. Mayor, pay attention. I am NOT the only person in the city questioning why you have just dropped this without a word. You are taking this to an ol’ boys status where if someone who’s been here a while can get away with anything while someone new must be persecuted. (Yes, that is the word I meant to use.)
If someone gave this woman permission to put this charge on the city card, then stand up and admit it and you face the punishment. If she did it on her own, then she must face the punishment despite what the state auditor thinks. This is not a state problem, this is a city problem and the state auditor has no business in it. The City Council and Mr. Mayor need to stand up and discuss this problem with the citizens because the situation won’t go away and neither will the ill feelings people have toward your selective treatment of employees.
Maybe it’s time the citizens of this city stop going with the same-old-same-old and start putting new people on the City Council. We need new blood who will ask questions and not just say “sure, OK, that’s fine.” It’s time to do something serious with our votes and give them to someone who will actually do their job. Start contacting your city official and let him/her know how you feel on this subject and other subjects in this town. We put them in office, it’s our responsibility to kick them out if they’re not doing a proper job.
