Mary Jane Brown (Greengo), 84, passed away at the Highland Healthcare and Rehab in Bella Vista, Ark., on July 9, 2011.

She was born to Mary Luella (Lair) and Wilton Greengo on Sept. 14, 1926, at Glenville. She grew up in Albert Lea. After graduation she attended Hamilton School of Business in Mason City, Iowa, and was then employed at the Albert Lea Federal Savings and Loan. On Sept. 5, 1948, she was united in marriage to L. Warren (Bud) Brown at the Methodist Church in Albert Lea. They later moved to Burnsville where Bud was employed as Sales Rep for Iowa Limestone Company for 30 years. After retirement they made their home in Bella Vista, Ark., and enjoyed many years of travel and relaxation.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant siblings; sister, LoJean; and husband, L. Warren Brown.

She is survived by brothers: Richard (Lollie) Greengo, Alexandria, and Rodger (Marge) Greengo, Salt Lake City, Utah; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Sevaldson, Albert Lea; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Rhonda Henderson of Bella Vista, Ark.

Mary Jane was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church where ever she lived. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi and developed close friendships with the members. She was a devoted wife and homemaker for nearly 63 years. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
