Murray was key in LGA decisions

After working very closely with Rep. Rich Murray over the past session, it is clear to me that the people of his district are fortunate to have such a tireless advocate working for them in St. Paul.

His constant communication and persuasive ability were big factors in maintaining local government aid at the same level as last year with no further reductions. Rep. Murray consistently fought to give local governments the certainty needed for sound budgeting, and as a result the final deal included provisions accomplishing just that. His efforts on behalf of the property taxpayer ensured there was relief for both homeowners and renters. He also promoted legislation, included in the final deal, which creates jobs and keeps family farms and small businesses in the family.

Rep. Murray deserves to be highly commended for his work on behalf of each and every one of his constituents over the past session. I am looking forward to working with Rep. Murray throughout the summer, and during next session, on more legislation that will benefit Minnesota.
