Fees for all dogs is $100 and any cat or kitten will be $70. All animals in foster care will be at the shelter and up for adoption as well.

“We’re at max capacity,” board member Dee Amberg said. “We’ve got really wonderful animals.”

The shelter will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, from noon to 5 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for the event.

“We encourage people to come on down,” Amberg said.

Shelter wins cat litter

The shelter held a two-week special adoption event in June as part of the National Adopt a Cat Month by waiving the fee on select cats. The shelter adopted out 12 cats in the event, and were one of 50 shelters who received coupons for $500 of free cat litter from Fresh Step. Amberg said more than 2,000 cats were adopted nationwide, and 150 shelters applied for the free litter.

“We were fortunate enough to be selected,” Amberg said.
