James Stauch, 76, Kingman, Ariz.

James Oscar Stauch, 76, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011. He was born on Jan. 13, 1935, to Russell and Gladys (Van Riper) Stauch, in Albert Lea.
He joined the Marine Corps in 1953 and served in Korea. Jim married Eleanor Mobley in Norwalk, Calif., on May 6, 1956. He owned his own car radio repair shop for many years in Garden Grove, Calif. He moved back to Albert Lea in 1976. He worked at Streaters for 11 years and retired in 1994. He was commander of the VFW in Albert Lea in 1990-91. Jim enjoyed hunting, bowling and playing pool.
After retiring he moved to Indio, Calif., for eight years and played lots of golf. His last move was to Kingman, Ariz., in 2008, where he was residing at the time of his death.
Jim is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two daughters: Debra Yttrevold and her husband, Martin, of Albert Lea and Pamela Stauch-Altman of Kingman, Ariz.; four grandchildren: April (Troy) Habana of Hayward, Tara (Tony) Yokiel of Albert Lea, Martin (Crystal) Modderman Jr. of Albert Lea and Jennafer Yttrevold of Minneapolis; 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Judy Eckhoff of Albert Lea; brothers: Nick (Trixie) Stauch of Missouri and Kenneth (Glori) Stauch of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his son, James Jr.; his sister, Connie Thompson; and his brother-in-law, Gerd Eckhoff.
He will be deeply missed by his wife and two daughters, who loved him very much. No services will be held, as were his wishes.
