Lou Vada Hall, 97, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Lou Vada Hall of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. Capt. Lee Brickson will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Lou Vada died Aug. 18, 2011, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea.
Lou Vada was born April 12, 1914, in Pineville, La., the daughter of William and Emma (Tyler) Farnell. She attended public school in Tioga, La. She spent the majority of her life in Louisiana and Minnesota. Lou Vada was united in marriage to Hunter Bohannon and then Harvey Rendell. In January of 1963 she was united in marriage to Robert Hall. All three preceded her in death.
Lou Vada opened the Salvation Army store in Albert Lea and was the store manager from 1953 through 1970. She was a member of the Salvation Army and active in all of their activities including the Ladies Home League. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Lou Vada is survived by her children; June and her husband Arlo Jaspersen of Albert Lea, Scott Huddleston of Albert Lea, Arthur and his wife Jean Rendell of New Richmond, Wis., John and his wife Robbie Rendell of Bonney Lake, Wash. There are 15 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son Jerry Bohannon in infancy, brother William Farnell Jr., and sisters Omera Guillory and Omeatha DuBois.
