The Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary to Freemond Madson Post 447 met at 7 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Legion Hall with President Eunice Hatleli presiding.

The regular order of business was conducted and directives read and discussed.

Donations totaling $1,149 have been made to the nine Minnesota veterans homes and hospitals, hospital sewing fund, hospital veterans service fund, cancer aid and research, VFW National Home activity fund, cottage and education fund and unrestricted funds, Jr. Girls Unit, Marcella Arnold and Minnesota Soldiers scholarship funds. A $100 donation was given to the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon fund, and the group received a nice thank you from Chairman John Severtson for that. The treasurer says the dues and member donations are coming in slowly and if the group is to continue to support these programs it is in need of those.
