Police arrested Zachery Thomas Madsen, 30, for third-degree test refusal, fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, no Minnesota driver’s license and open bottle violations after a traffic stop at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Southeast Broadway Avenue and Margaretha Avenue. Reports stated dispatchers had received a call of a white Buick heading into Albert Lea that was reportedly driving at speeds of 100 mph and going all over the road.

 

Counterfeit bills allegedly passed

A man and women reportedly attempted to purchase cigarettes using conterfeit $20 bills at Kwik Trip, 906 W. Front St., at 5:13 a.m. today, according to reports.
