P.M. Report: Man injured in crash

A 33-year-old Austin man was injured early this morning after he reportedly struck a deer on Interstate 90 near Oakland.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, James C. Roberts was driving a 1995 Honda Civic east on Interstate 90 near mile 169, when he reportedly struck the deer. The deer reportedly came through the windshield.

The incident took place at about 1:30 a.m.

Roberts was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.

 

5 arrested for drunken driving

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Kael Douglas Iverson for fourth-degree DWI after a traffic stop at 10:57 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Freeborn County Road 14 and state Highway 13.

Deputies cited Casey Lynn Tabor for fourth-degree DWI and allowing open container violations after a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 13 and Wedgewood Road at 2:25 a.m. Sunday. Also cited were Bo Daniel David and Christopher Ryan Benson for open bottle violations.

Police arrested Ricardo Macias Rubio for third-degree DWI, child endangerment and no Minnesota driver’s license after a traffic stop at 12:57 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Fenton Avenue and East Main Street, reports stated.

Police arrested Alexander John Sheetz for fourth-degree DWI and loud exhaust after a traffic stop near the intersection of East Third Street and Frank Avenue at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, according to reports.

A juvenile was arrested for fourth-degree DWI after a traffic stop at 2:25 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Newton Avenue and William Street, reports stated.

 

Shed broken into

A padlock was damaged and a shed was reported broken into at 10852 Main St. in Gordonsville at 11:14 a.m. Saturday, according to reports.

 

Two cited after traffic stop

Police cited Shawn Phillip Gaston for driving after suspension, no proof of insurance and allowing open container violations after a traffic stop near the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Katherine Street at 1:46 a.m. Saturday, reports stated. Also cited was Tyree Lavertt Williams for minor consumption.

 

Windows broken out of vehicles

Windows were reported broken out of vehicles at 704 Madison Ave., 312 W. Front St. and 825 Jefferson Ave. on Saturday, reports stated.
