The Albert Lea Art Center is hosting a pumpking painting event this week. During open hours, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., through Friday anyone can come in to decorate pumpkins. The art center will provide books and magazines for ideas and all other supplies.

The art center will also be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday for pumpkin painting. Seniors, shut-ins and students look forward to the pumpkins each year to brighten their surroundings.
