A short Albert Lea Bus Co. school bus was rear-ended Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of West William Street and First Avenue.

No one was injured.

Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said the bus was carrying one driver, two aides and two young passengers at the time of the crash.

He said the bus received minor damage.

Both the bus and vehicle behind it were reportedly traveling northbound on First Avenue when crash occurred.

Winkels said the bus stopped in the roadway and then backed up. When the vehicle was stopping behind the bus and collided with it.

No charges are expected to come out of the incident.
