The student council at Albert Lea High School decorated the school and did a lot of planning to make sure students enjoyed Homecoming Week in October. The high school staff also performed a flash mob.

The school board approved allowing students and staff into sporting games free of charge during the week, which led to bigger crowds.

The robotics team launched T-shirts into the crowd under the direction of Mike Sundblad and Ken Fiscus. Student volunteers, the activities office and booster clubs all worked together to make sure the Tiger mascot was at various activities. The week ended with an afternoon for activities including an Army climbing wall, inflatable activities, powder puff football game and two Homecoming dances.
