Area under wind advisory

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for southern Minnesota this morning that is expected to last from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, a cold front will move across the region this morning and strong west winds will develop in the wake of the front by late this morning. Wind speeds of 30 to 35 mph can be expected along with gusts reaching 45 mph.
Freeborn, Faribault, Steele, Blue Earth and Waseca counties are included in the advisory.
