Lens & Shutter Club

The Lens & Shutter Photography Club held their Oct. 20 meeting at Rofshus Precision Machine. There were 13 members and three visitors in attendance. One visitor joined at that meeting.
October’s contest category was “Looking Through/Framed.” Judges were Bernadine Peterson, Rachelle Fliehman and Ryon McCamish. There were no guest judges for October.
Members receiving competition awards were:
Bernadine Peterson, first place for “Got Mail.”
Jim Wendel, second place for “Air Force Chapel.”
Kayla Thompson, third place for “I’m Puzzled.”
Honorable mentions were awarded to Darcy Sime, Linda Eisterhold and Cherie Daniel.
Merit awards were awarded to Jean Aamodt, John Eisterhold, Carol Haroldson, Darcy Sime, Carol Bertelson, Linda Eisterhold and Mitch Pederson.
A selection of October’s competition entries, including winning pictures, will be displayed in the lobby of the Farmers State Bank, 1452 W. Main St., Albert Lea, this month. Each month there is a new display of club pictures at the bank.
Members receiving N4C Digital awards were:
Sime, third place for “Mother’s Love”; and an honorable mention for “Moultan Barn.”
Linda Eisterhold, merit award for “Black Swallow Tail.”
Wendel, merit award for “American Egret”; and a merit award for “Water Drop.”
Sime also won an honorable mention in the N4C Print Travel category for Zion National Park, Utah.
The next meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. at Rofshus Precision Machine. Competition category will be Stairs and Steps.
