Funeral services for Marion E. Huesmann, of Cross Lake, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Timothy Reker and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St Theodore Catholic Cemetery.

Marion died on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. She was 95 years of age.

Marion was born March 27, 1916, the daughter of August and Josephine (Haag) Schneider. She attended Catholic grade school and graduated from New Ulm High School. Marion was united in marriage to Edward Huesmann on May 13, 1939, in New Ulm. She worked at the WPA district office in New Ulm from 1935 until 1939. She also worked for a short time with a Life Insurance Co. For many years she helped run Bob’s Lanes and the Town Club Bowl with her husband Edward in Albert Lea where she lived for more than 50 years. She was a long time member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and in her free time enjoyed gardening.

A little more than five years ago Marion moved up north to be closer to her son in Cross Lake.

Marion is survived by her son, Thomas, and his wife, Jeannette Huesmann, of Cross Lake; grandchildren: Nicholl (Jim) Thielen, Kimberly (Shane Michael) Ahrendt and Jason (Stephanie) Huesmann. There are six great-grandchildren: Daniel and Lauren Thielen, Brady and Anna Ahrendt, Noah and Aidan Huesmann.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; sister, Evelyn; and brothers:George, Stanley, Richard and James.
