P.M. Report: Car driver arrested

ALDEN — Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an overturned car on the railroad tracks just west of Alden at 8:56 p.m. Sunday.
Jamie Lynn Garcia, 30, no address listed, was arrested for fourth-degree drunken driving, driving after suspension, no insurance, leaving the scene of an accident and inattentive driving, according to the sheriff’s report.
The report added that the railroad firm said there was no damages to the tracks.
Burglary attempted
An attempted burglary took place at the former Progress Castings building Sunday. The burglary was reported around 1:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon. One door was entered through. Nothing was taken or damaged, according to Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels.
The building is at 1521 E. Hawthorne St. in Albert Lea.
