The fourth annual Table Carol Dinner will be held at the United Methodist Church at noon, Dec. 4. This fun program will feature many Christmas carols and songs, along with stories and Christmas humor. The dinner is catered and the Fellowship Hall will be beautifully decorated with snowflakes and angels. There are some tickets available for this dinner. Tickets are $8.50 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and under. Tickets must be purchased by Sunday. For tickets you can call the church office at 373-8233, 373-3535 or 373-6755.

 

Advent recitals

The church’s annual Advent Organ Recital Series begins Tuesday and continues Tuesdays during Advent. The programs begin at 12:15 p.m. and are about a half hour in length. Organists this year will be Eileen Nelson Ness on Tuesday, Robert Tewes on Dec. 6, Gail Thurnau on Dec. 13 and Eileen Nelson Ness with Scott Ness, cellist from Boston, Mass., on Dec. 20.

Music will include both Advent and Christmas selections including various Christmas carols.

Enjoy a hot cup of coffee during the recitals. These concerts are open to the public. There is no admission charge but there will be a free-will donation. The Methodist Church is located at 702 Highway 69 S and is a handicapped accessible building.
