Beverly Carr, 86, Albert Lea

The memorial service for Beverly Lucille Carr of Albert Lea, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. Deacon Michael Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation with her family will be one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Naeve Health Care Foundation.
Beverly died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. She was 86 years old.
Beverly was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Albert Lea, to James and Gladys (Wilson) Van Riper. She grew up in Albert Lea and attended Albert Lea schools. She was a homemaker. On Nov. 30, 1946, she was united in marriage to Leo Carr. They resided in Albert Lea. She loved to sing, ballroom dance, read and do cross word puzzles. Beverly was an accomplished seamstress, having started sewing for others at the age of 13. She also loved music, theatre and poetry. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.
Beverly is survived by her children: Patricia Wulff and her husband Jeff, of Rochester, and Larry Carr and his wife, Jodell, of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Aaron Wulff and his wife Martha of Maplewood, Crystal Carr and fiancé, Jerrid Wasmund, of Owatonna, Christopher Carr of Albert Lea, and Michael Carr and fiancé Brooke Atwood of Farmington; great-grandchildren: Liam Wulff, of Maplewood, and Devin Carr and Autumn Wasmund, of Owatonna; brothers: Warren Van Riper (Elgene), of Owatonna, and John Van Riper (Irene) of Albert Lea; sisters: Thelma Jacobs of Albert Lea, Patricia Fjelbroten (Bob) of Albert Lea, Joan Loverink (Tenny) of Remer; special nieces: Judy Eckhoff and Robin Schmitt of Albert Lea.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents: James and Gladys Van Riper; husband, Leo Carr; brothers: Kenneth, Joe, Rip, Pud and James Van Riper; sisters: Helen Wellens and Sis Stauch.
