South Central Youth For Christ’s The Rock was been given the opportunity to apply for a grant provided by Albert Lea. The Rock was eligible for this grant because of its location in Albert Lea’s National Historical District. If willing to bring back the building to its original historic appearance The Rock could apply for up to $50,000 in matching funds. After going through the application process, The Rock is happy to announce that it has received the matching grant and is launching a campaign to raise $50,000 for the project.

The Rock had many reasons for seeking this grant, some of which are: The front of The Rock is in need of repairs; when it rains water leaks in behind the white metal above our windows. The sign and awnings are worn out. During the winter months, the windows and doors let in a lot of cold.
