New library space at the art center

This past year, Gordon Hovde donated his collection of museum art books to the Albert Lea Art Center. Due to a grant from the Alliant Energy Foundation, Inc., the art center have purchased a trio of bookcases and are now able to properly display and present the books to members for their viewing pleasure.

Members are invited to stop in and peruse the shelves and be inspired by this collection of fine art books. Because of the valuable nature of the books, the art center cannot loan them out, but hope you will take the time to drop in and sit awhile in the new comfortable library space.

Additional information about upcoming events may be found at www.thealbertleaartcenter.org. The Albert Lea Art Center is located at 224 South Broadway in Albert Lea, MN. Art center hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Art shop and gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
