The Albert Lea Education Association and District 241 are seeking your letter of nomination for the 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year. Public appreciation of teacher contributions is felt deeply in countless homes and communities, but often goes unexpressed. The purpose of the Teacher of the Year is to express appreciation to the many outstanding men and women in the teaching profession whose examples serve as inspiration to teachers and students. In no way is the teacher to be considered the best teacher in the district, but is representative of many teachers who daily influence the lives of students. Anyone is eligible for nomination for the Teacher of the Year who is currently teaching in District 241. Nominees must have completed at least three full school years in our system. Anyone may nominate a teacher for consideration by completing this form and returning it to: Albert Lea Education Association, Teacher of the Year Committee, Box 826, Albert Lea, MN 56007. Nominations must be received by Jan. 26.
