Patricia and Chad Boone, of Albert Lea, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Ackerman, to Nicholas Schreiber, son of Colleen Schreiber and Scott and Lorie Schreiber, all of Albert Lea.

Melissa is a 2004 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2010 graduate of Riverland Community College with an associate’s degree in liberal arts. She is currently enrolled in the human services program. She is employed at Hayward Group Home.

Nicholas is a 2002 graduate of Albert Lea High School. He is employed at Larson’s Contracting.

A wedding is planned for May 19, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
