Tiger swimming falls to Faribault

Albert Lea boys’ swimming and dive team lost to Faribault on Tuesday at Albert Lea High School 93-71.

The Tigers took first place in two of the events.

Larry Holcomb came in first in 25.33 seconds during the 50-yard freestyle, and Isaac Olson took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.94.

The Tigers had six second-place finishes during the meet: The team of Olson, Corbin Schultz, Preston Smith and Larry Holcomb at 1:53.19 in the 200-yard medley race, Corbin Schultz at 2:26.43 in the 200-yard individual medley, Olson at 55.08 in the 100-yard freestyle, Daniel Gould at 5:47.32 in the 500-yard freestyle and the team of Smith, Holcomb, Schultz and Gould at 1:44.77 in the 200-yard relay.

Albert Lea’s next meet is against Northfield at home 6 p.m. Thursday.
