Area churches have teamed up with Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp for summer Vacation Bible School Day Camp. On June 10, the Okoboji team arrives. There will be pizza, ice cream sundaes, fun and time to get to know each other at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trinity Hall beginning at 5 p.m.

Vacation Bible School week begins on June 11 and continues through June 14 at Edgewater Park. That’s four days packed with Christ-centered activities, games, arts and crafts, songs, skits and Bible-based-lessons. The theme “Alive!” is based on 1 Thessalonians 5:10. God’s great adventure is going to be like an Indiana Jones action week where children learn they are alive to follow, alive to be rescued, alive to seek and alive for a quest.

Cost is $30 per youth and maximum is $50 per family. It is for all area youth entering first through sixth grade in the fall of 2012. It is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a special Vacation Bible School for preschoolers ages 3, 4 and 5. Three-year-olds must come with an adult. Preschoolers attend 9 a.m. to noon.
