Vanessa King and Matthew Louw announce their engagement.

Vanessa’s mother is Diane King of Albert Lea. Grandparents are Marlin and Kitty Sandsmark of Albert Lea.

Matthew’s parents are Mark and Jen Louw of Des Moines, Iowa, and Andrea Louw of Warner Robins, Ga. Grandparents are Royce and Barb Louw of Davenport, Iowa.

Vanessa is a 2007 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2010 graduate of Kaplan University in Des Moines, Iowa. She is employed at West Des Moines Family Physicians in West Des Moines.

Matthew is a 2006 graduate of Lincoln High School in Des Moines, Iowa. He is employed at Best Buy in Des Moines.

A wedding is planned for June 23 in Northwood, Iowa.
