FARGO, N.D. — A former North Dakota Highway Patrol regional commander has pleaded guilty to driving drunk in Minnesota and been ordered to pay $610 in fines and fees.

Former Capt. Kevin Robson entered his plea on Friday in Bemidji. His lawyer told the judge that Robson has completed a seven-week inpatient addiction treatment.

Robson was commander of the patrol’s Grand Forks regional office when he was arrested near Bemidji on March 10. The 15-year-veteran of the patrol resigned earlier this month from his job supervising nearly 30 officers in a seven-county region.
