Free program at Marion Ross Performing Arts Center

A free program, “Drug trends: A tale of drugs, a web of deceit,” will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, 147 N. Broadway, Albert Lea. Lunch will be provided.

Presented by Michael McGinnis, LADC, this program will identify the latest trends growing among youth, including designer drugs, cocaine, heroin, prescription drugs, marijuana and others. McGinnis will discuss ways to recognize the symptoms of intoxication with these chemicals and help identify strategies for responding to issues surrounding chemical use.

The participant is responsible to determine whether this activity meets the requirements for continuing education for the involved discipline.
