Students inducted into National Honor Society

Submitted On April16, 25 students at Albert Lea High School were inducted into the National Honor Society. Albert Lea High School has specific criteria a student must meet in order to be eligible to be inducted into the honor society. Eligibility is only open to juniors and seniors. A student must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or above to be eligible for induction. Once a student meets this academic criteria they must obtain the written recommendation of four faculty members and one coach or advisor of a student activity. They are then evaluated by the faculty, coaches and advisors in the areas of leadership, character service to their community and involvement in extracurricular activities. In addition, each student is required to complete five hours of community service to complete the criteria to remain a member of the honor society.
