Timberwolves to host draft prospects today

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves will host several draft prospects, including Duke center Miles Plumlee and Marquett forward Jae Crowder, during a pair of workouts today.

Texas guard J’Covan Brown, Northwestern forward John Shurna and Memphis forward Wesley Witherspoon will be among the prospects joining Plumlee in the first workout.

Crowder, Baylor forward Quincy Acy, and guards Scott Machado of Iona, Ramone Moore of Temple, Kevin Murphy of Tennessee Tech and Casper Ware of Long Beach State will participate in the second workout.

The Timberwolves have the 18th pick in the draft. They traded a first-round pick and Sam Cassell to the Clippers for Marko Jaric in 2005 and New Orleans secured the rights to their first-rounder this year in a trade with the Clippers in December.
