Burn victim Ralph Yotter, survivor of a house explosion north of Freeborn last Friday, was in critical condition Wednesday afternoon at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, according to his wife, Pat Yotter.

“He’s holding his own, the doctors told me,” she said. “But his age is against him.”

The Yotters are both 75. Investigators determined the cause of the explosion to be sewage gas.
