City to treat Fountain Lake for algae

On Friday the city of Albert Lea Parks and Recreation Department will be chemically treating Fountain Lake with copper sulfate for the control of algae. The public should not swim in the lake for a period of 24 hours.

Swimming and other permitted activities may resume at noon Saturday. If people have any questions, they shouldcontact the city of Albert Lea Parks and Recreation Department at 377-4370.
