Gary A. Yost of Osceola, Wis., died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Osceola Medical Center at the age of 72.

Gary was born March 20, 1940, in Albert Lea, to Ellsworth and Arlene Yost. He was baptized and confirmed at Bear Lake Lutheran Church. He graduated from Emmons High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army as a MP K9 handler with his partner Ajax. On Aug. 10, 1979, he married Carolyn Fox at Leland, Iowa. The family later moved to Osceola, Wis., where Gary worked for many years as a phone technician at Somerset Telephone Company. In his free time he enjoyed sports, especially golf.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lynn.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn; children: Chad (Shelley) Yost, Chet (Lori) Yost, Cory (Jen) Yost, Cody (Cindy) Yost, Cade (Jenny) Yost, Brad (Cheryl) Fox, Brian (Marnie) Fox, Tami (Ty) Linden, Brent (Cindy) Fox and Barry (Rachel) Fox; 25 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers: Dale (Phyllis) of Emmons and Paul (Debbie) of Emmons; sisters: Marilyn (Dwight) Ahnemann of Eau Claire, Wis., and Rebecca (Ivan) Christiansen of Owatanna; aunts: Betty Martinson, Bernice Anderson and Arlene Lindquist; uncle Don Martinson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola, Wis. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bethesda Lutheran Church, 1947 110th Ave. Dresser, WI. Interment Bethesda Cemetery.
