Motorcyclist dies after crash

The 63-year-old St. Ansgar, Iowa, motorcyclist injured Sunday evening in a crash north of Northwood, Iowa, has reportedly died.

The motorcyclist, Richard Shave, was driving northbound on U.S. Highway 65 when he lost control by Olive Avenue just north of the viaduct over the Union Pacific Railroad.

He reportedly struck two road signs, drove into the ditch and rolled into a field. He was not wearing a helmet and was flung from the motorcycle.
