I would like to clarify a point on the marriage amendment question that will be on the ballot on Nov. 6. Whether you vote yes or no, please remember that Minnesota law already prohibits same-sex marriages. The marriage amendment question is vital because it would protect our current law from activists, judges or legislatures taking it upon themselves to change the definition of marriage without the voice of the people. By voting yes to the question, our current law will be protected and the only way that it could ever be changed is by the people. Please join the 30 other states that have passed similar amendments protecting marriage between one man and one woman. Vote yes on Nov. 6!
