MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves worked out Memphis guard Will Barton and three other draft prospects on Monday as they continue their preparation for the NBA draft.

Barton averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game for the Tigers last season as a sophomore. Temple guard Ramone Moore, Cincinnati forward Yancy Gates and Wichita State center Garrett Stutz also worked out.

The Timberwolves hold the 18th pick in Thursday night’s draft. So far they have only hosted two players — Barton and Iowa State forward Royce White — who are projected to be selected in that area. Another one is scheduled for Tuesday when Syracuse center Fab Melo will work out.

Xavier guard Tu Holloway and center Kenny Frease and Villanova guard Maalik Wayns are among those scheduled to join Melo.
