Albert Lea business owner and potter Steve Tubbs is the featured speaker at the Art Center’s monthly Godtland Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Thursday. Following his passion for pottery for more than 30 years, Tubbs is known for the mugs he creates each year for the Big Island Rendezvous & Festival, but he also creates other pottery items including wine chillers, vases, tableware, serving dishes and candleholders. Tubb’s pottery can be found at his shop, Ben’s Floral & Frame Designs in Albert Lea.

Albert Lea Art Center’s lecture series showcases local and visiting artists and craftsmen, and include painters, woodworkers, musicians, poets, potters, storytellers, jewelry artists and sculptors.
