The Freeborn County auditor-treasurer’s office is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to administer absentee balloting, accepting absentee ballot applications and casting of absentee ballots until the day before the primary election.

In addition, the Freeborn County auditor-treasurer’s office will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 11 for those who will be absent from their precinct because of illness or disability, religious discipline or observance of religious holiday or service as an election judge in another precinct.

Because of the Auditor-Treasurer’s Office being a polling place location, they are asking your cooperation in not campaigning within 100 feet of the Government Center Building according to HF 3108, Laws 2010, Chapter 201. Campaigning means that campaign buttons, shirts, signs, bumper stickers, etc., cannot be visible within 100 feet of the building for any candidate or question, state, federal or local.
