Boy treated after falling on hot tar

A 11-year-old boy was reportedly treated for injuries he received from falling on hot tar on Fenton Avenue in Albert Lea, according to police. The incident was reported at 7:52 p.m. Friday. Streets are being overlaid in that area.

GORDONSVILLE — A 31-year-old St. Paul woman was injured Saturday afternoon after a crash on U.S. Highway 65 near Gordonsville.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Amara Hark-Weber, was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Reports stated Hark-Weber was driving southbound on Highway 65 in a 2006 Toyota Scion when she reportedly struck a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado that was crossing Highway 65 on Freeborn County Road 1.

The driver of the Silverado, Thomas J. Madson, of Greenfield, Wis., was not injured.

 

Man arrested for DWI

Police arrested Jason Hunter Fahrenholz, 42, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 201 W. Main St. at 3:08 a.m. Saturday, according to reports.

 

Vehicle reported damaged

A vehicle was reported keyed at 130 Garfield Ave. at 8:51 a.m. Sunday, according to police. Police said there was another report that the vehicle’s tires were slashed and the door of the gas tank was open.

 

Woman injured in motorcycle crash

A woman was transported to a hospital after a motorcycle crash at 2:10 p.m. Saturday on Freeborn County Road 20, one-fourth of a mile north of County Road 25, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. No other information was available.

 

Money missing from residence

Money was reported missing from a residence at 512 Park Ave. at 9:43 a.m. Friday. This was reportedly the third time money was missing, police stated.

 

Car fire reported

A car fire was reported near the intersection of Troy Road and Keystone Road at 4:09 p.m. Saturday, according to police. No other information was available.

 

Man cited for domestic assault

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited Troy Wade Loeefler, 28, for domestic assault at 11:31 p.m. Friday at 100 First Ave. NE in Clarks Grove, according to reports.

 

Mailbox damaged

A mailbox and newspaper box were reported destroyed at 70072 State Line Road in Emmons at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, according to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports.
