Ellendale Days starts today

ELLENDALE — Ellendale Days is four days long again this year. The fun starts today and runs through Sunday.
Events kick off tonight with food and music at the liquor store.
On Friday, there will be a variety of events for all ages starting with an event called Paint Til You Faint at Country Charm, the ceramics store on Fifth Avenue.
Also Friday will be a bake sale, taco supper, dodgeball tournament and Ellendale Has Talent, among other activities.
The Lion’s Club will host a meat raffle Friday and Saturday nights, from 8 to 10 p.m.
Saturday will have a farmers market, car show, homerun derby and parade.
For the children there will be a fun zone with inflatable jumpers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a hot dog eating contest will be at 1 p.m.
There will also be a youth dance from 9 p.m. to midnight and an adult street dance from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Sunday will begin with a pancake breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and a worship service and will conclude with a tractor pull.

7 p.m.: Ellendale Has Talent
8 to 10 p.m.: Lion’s club meat raffle at the liquor store
8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: Street dance
9:30 p.m.: Youth movie by fire department
Saturday
8 a.m.: Farmers market opens
8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Lions Club rummage sale
8 a.m.: Breakfast burritos and car show
9 a.m.: Home run derby at Ertel Field
9 a.m.: Lion’s Club foodwagon opens

Noon: Beanbag tournament

4 p.m.: Parade followed by turtle races, pedal tractor pull and Lions Club kids games
