Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services has issued a peak alert for the second day in a row as heat continues to bear down on the area.

Cooperative members are asked to wait until 7 p.m. to use any unnecessary electric power.

It is a peak alert day because of high demands for electricity caused by hot temperatures.
