Albert Lea’s chapter of the Harley Owners Group is looking for local motorcycle riders who would like to participate in the 2012 Nation of Patriots Tour, in which motorcyclists carry an American flag across 48 states.

Local riders plan to receive the flag at Bergdale Harley-Davidson in Albert Lea on Aug. 27 at noon from riders in Eden Prairie.

After a formal presentation and passing of the flag, it will be displayed at Bergdale Harley-Davidson until the morning of Aug. 28.

At 9:30 a.m., local riders will begin their 125-mile escort of the flag to Waukon, Iowa, passing through Austin, Spring Valley, Preston, Cresco, Iowa, and into Waukon.
