Locks cut on storage units

Locks on two storage units were reported cut at 2600 Hi Tech Ave. at 10:54 p.m. Saturday, according to Albert Lea police. Nothing was reportedly missing from the units.

Locks on four storage units at Albert Lea Mini Storage were reported cut at 8:44 a.m. Monday, according to police. It was unknown at the time it was reported to police whether anything was missing.

Locks were reported broken off of some of the work trailers at the new Holiday Inn Express on East Main Street at 10:05 a.m. Monday, police stated.

Game system stolen

A Nintendo Wii game system and several games were reported stolen from 527 Triangle Drive at 9:38 a.m. Monday, according to police.

 

TV sets dumped at school

TVs were reportedly dumped by the tennis courts of Southwest Middle School, 1601 W. Front St., and writing was reported on the wall of the school, at 7:08 a.m. Monday, according to police.

 

Car fire reported

A car fire was reported at 4 p.m. Saturday at 501 S. Washington Ave., according to police.

 

1 arrested for DWI

Police arrested Mark William Malepsy, 44, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and failure to obey a stop sign after a traffic stop at 307 Crescent Drive at 9:47 p.m. Saturday, according to reports.

 

1 cited for underage drinking

MYRTLE — Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited Zackary Dean Williamson, 19, for underage drinking after dispatchers received a report of people shooting off fireworks at 204 Main St. in Myrtle, according to reports.
