OWATONNA — Steele County authorities have identified the victim of a drowning on Lake Kohlmier as a 19-year-old Fairbault man.

Steele County Sheriff Lon Thiele said a family member identified him as Diego Ortiz Larios.

Witnesses lost sight of him just before 6 p.m. Wednesday when he was swimming around the dock on the swimming beach side of the lake in Owatonna. The incident was ruled an accidental drowning.
