Red Cross Babysitter Training will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 21 at the Freeborn-Mower Chapter of the Red Cross, Albert Lea office. A generous grant from the United Way of Freeborn County enables residents of Freeborn County to receive this free training by simply making a monetary contribution of any amount to the American Red Cross.

Class size is limited, and another session is scheduled Aug. 18. The class normally costs $85. Availability is limited. Register now by contacting Chris Avery at the Freeborn-Mower Chapter at 373-4544.

For more than 30 years Red Cross Babysitter Training has provided participants aged 11-15 with confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in any babysitting situation.  Students learn many valuable skills such as how to supervise children and infants, identifying safety hazards, handling bedtime and discipline issues, how to find and interview for babysitting jobs and much more.
