Robert “Bob” Tolzmann, 85, Wells

Robert “Bob” Dean Tolzmann, 85, of Wells, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Parkview Care Center in Wells. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in rural Minnesota Lake. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells Thursday and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Dennis Secrease will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements.

Tolzmann

Bob was born June 13, 1927, the son of Rueben Harry and Lillian V. (Hoescht) Tolzmann in Waseca Co. He was united in marriage to Marlys Mae Stern on May 31, 1951, in Wells.

Bob farmed until 1971. While farming, he shelled corn and trucked milk to Waldorf. For 25 years he was the custodian at St. Casimir’s. After retirement, he was a tiler and handyman and enjoyed helping at church while also helping others. Bob was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in rural Minnesota Lake.

He is survived by his wife Marlys of Wells; three sons: Loren (Eileen) Tolzmann, Randall (Debra) Tolzmann, all of Wells, and Rick (Cheryl) Tolzmann of Onalaska, Wis.; seven grandchildren: Sarah (Marc) Hamann of Maple Grove, Mitchell (Brooke) Tolzmann of Franklin, Tenn., Jacob (Chelcie) Tolzmann of Wells, Christopher Tolzmann of North Mankato, Brenna Tolzmann, Maisie Tolzmann and Hannah Tolzmann, all of Onalaksa, Wis.; three great-grandchildren: Hayden, Leigha and Zander.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother Eldren; and son Wayne in 2006.
