MINNEAPOLIS — University of Minnesota regents have voted to allow beer sales at TCF Bank Stadium starting this fall.

Wednesday’s vote was 10 to 1. The decision is expected to bring an additional $1 million to $1.5 million annually in sales and suite rentals.

Fans in general seating areas will be able to buy beer from only two stands, both on the west side of the stadium, farthest away from the student section.
