You Can Help

These are some of the volunteer opportunities currently open in Freeborn County. If you can help with any of them or would like to volunteer for others, call Pat Stumme, Retired and Senior Volunteer program director, Senior Resources, 377-7433.

Youth activity guide handouts: Plan ahead to help hand out the Youth Activity Guides that are being prepared for distribution Aug. 29 and 30 at our elementary schools all across Freeborn County. It’s a great way to encourage students and families to be active in our county.

Freeborn County Environmental Services: A variety of tasks are available for volunteers at the Hazardous Waste Collection sites: open paint cans, direct traffic, record names, help unload vehicles. Dates are Aug. 8, 25 and 28. The sites are Clarks Grove, Albert Lea and Maple Island. You get information by calling 377-5186.
