Megan Joyce and Arik Matson announce their engagement.

Joyce’s parents are Mitch Johnson and Michelle Joyce, both of Freeborn. Her grandparents are Sid and Marlyss Johnson of Wells.

Matson’s parents are Tim and Sheila Matson of Albert Lea. His grandparents are Janice Matson and Ray and Joyce Langerud, all of Albert Lea.

Joyce is a 2007 graduate of United South Central High School. She has an associate’s degree in administrative assisting and is employed at Holiday Lanes in Albert Lea.

Matson is a 2006 graduate of Albert Lea High School. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in law enforcement and is employed at the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

Their wedding will be Feb. 4, 2014, in Cancun, Mexico.
