AUSTIN — A Le Roy man accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old family member for nearly eight years admits guilt after one year of court proceedings.

Neal Scott Johnson, 45, pleaded guilty in Mower County District Court Friday to second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a significant relation younger than 16, a felony. Two felony charges for first-degree criminal sexual conduct were dismissed. According to court documents, the victim reported the abuse to police July 30, 2011.

The victim told police Johnson had abused her since 2003, when she was five years old. She added the abuse would occur at least four to five times a month, but over time happened around 10 times a month. The last sexual encounter was July 16, 2011, she told officers.
